Digital Couponing Survey Underway
CPGmatters, the newsletter for marketers of consumer packaged goods, has fielded a national survey on digital couponing in collaboration with the Shopper Technology Institute (STI). Partners in Loyalty Marketing, a Chicago-based consultancy, will tabulate and analyze the results, which will be presented at the fourth annual LEAD Marketing Conference Oct. 1-3 in Chicago.  

The survey will cover all forms of digital coupons. It will poll executives about such topics as usage, redemption, settlement, and potential for growth, among other topics.

GfK Itegrates Digital Offerings into New Global Practice
Digital Market Intelligence (DMI) is a new global practice from GfK that aims to help companies gain a complete picture of their return on digital marketing and advertising investments. DMI will incorporate the innovative capabilities of KN Dimestore and nurago - both recently acquired by GfK.

VideoMining Aligns with Willard Bishop
VideoMining Corporation, the leading provider of in-store intelligence for shopper marketing, has formed a strategic alliance with Willard Bishop, a consultancy based in Barrington, Ill.  The companies aim to combine their research capabilities to enhance the sales performance of product categories in the Center Store of supermarkets.
 
WBC publishes the ongoing Total Store SuperStudy, a comprehensive exploration of supermarket performance of every category, sub-category and even brand set across leading supermarket chains. The decade-year-old study, which is refreshed each year, includes 80 financial measures and profitability data across 250 categories that represent 230,000 SKUs.    

VideoMining studies shopper behavior in select supermarkets with the Center Store MegaStudy, now in its second year. The research employs VideoMining’s breakthrough in-store measurement and analytics technology to provide unprecedented visibility into the shopping process and impact of shopper marketing. It has shown, for example, how shoppers react to displays and how they make decisions in-store in different categories.


Vision Critical Joins Customer Experience Professionals Association
Leading global consumer insights and technology solutions firm Vision Critical has joined the Customer Experience Professionals Association (CXPA) as a Bronze Sponsor.

CXPA is an international non-profit organization created to guide and enhance the growing field of customer experience management. Call for Presentations for GS1 Connect 2013
GS1 US today said it is accepting applications from industry leaders interested in presenting at GS1 Connect 2013, scheduled June 10-13 at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort.

The information standards organization’s annual conference features several dozen sessions covering six key industries:  Consumer Packaged Goods, Foodservice, Fresh Foods, General Merchandise/Hardlines, Apparel, and Healthcare. Topics should relate to the successful implementation, use, or adoption of GS1 Standards in at least one of the following areas: inventory and asset management; data quality, management, and governance; traceability and safety; business-to-consumer (B2C) and mobile commerce; and product or location identification.

NRF Launches Integrated Mobile Initiative
The National Retail Federation (NRF), in partnership with its member companies, has launched the Integrated Mobile Initiative (IMI), a first-of-its-kind, program that will serve as the single source for information about the challenges and opportunities that exist within mobile retailing.

Drawing from NRF’s cross-sector membership base of more than 9,000 companies and industry experts,  the IMI will explore the scope of issues that mobile impacts and offer best practices, case studies, educational content, thought leadership, and more.

“As mobile rapidly changes both consumers’ expectations and the overall shopping experience, the IMI will serve as the go-to source for information for retailers, their business partners, the media, and interested parties across the world on the practical aspects of implementation and resources for mobile retailing,” said Vicki Cantrell, NRF’s Senior Vice President of Communities and Executive Director of Shop.org, who will lead the initiative.
